Introduction to MYOB
Introduction to MYOB: Using MYOB Accounting v18 and MYOB Premier v12 - introduces the world of MYOB and GST to the beginner.
Students in this course will study a range of topics that include:
- access information from on-line help to solve operational problems
- open a MYOB data file and enter the following from source documents—receipts, payments, recurring transactions, purchase orders, invoices, adjustments, general journal entries and electronic payments accounting for the GST component
- print purchase orders, invoices, adjustments notes, and customer statements
- extract and record information from bank statements and produce a bank reconciliation statement
- print the following reports - transaction journals, trial balance, profit and loss statement, balance sheet, aged debtor and aged creditor reports and inventory list, GST report and business activity statement
- carry out end of period processing
- backup and restore data files
- identify and rectify errors and discrepancies
- use inquiry procedures to access information about the business
- set up a data file, create and maintain a chart of accounts and enter opening balances.
