Basic Computing and Keyboarding Skills
This course focuses on giving the beginner student, the skills and confidence to start your computer, use a keyboard, enter data and process the data into a document. By completing the course, you will learn to use the correct fingers on the keyboard and increase your typing speed. You will also learn how to create text and save it so it can be recalled to the screen, edited and reformatted as many times as required without retyping.
Students in this course will study a range of topics that include:
- the keyboard
- ergonomics
- starting your system
- word processing
- saving and printing your work
- learning the keyboard and using the correct fingers.
