Merchandising
In this course, you will be guided step by step through the basic goals in merchandising in a retail store, as well as the techniques involved in classifying and displaying merchandise effectively.
The following course will be of benefit to anyone in the retail industry or anyone wishing to become involved in retail.
You will not need to have access to a retail environment to successfully complete this course but it would be beneficial if you could spend some time in retail. This will give you a feel for the industry and the opportunity to practise the skills and knowledge you will learn in this course.
Students in this course will study a range of topics that include:
- fittings and store layouts
- ticket merchandising and types and presentation of tickets
- target markets
- pricing stock
- merchandising code of practice
- safety hazards.
