Practical Public Relations
The course provides a basic knowledge of professional public relations practice and the skills and techniques required of a successful Public Relations Officer. It is designed for persons already engaged either directly or indirectly, or who intend to seek a career in the exciting field of public relations. The course introduces practical skills and techniques used in putting into practice the many facets of public relations theory.
Students in this course will study a range of topics that include:
- communication and persuasion
- pr objectives and formulas
- surveys
- the expense and returns in PR
- corporate image
- writing reports, speeches and media releases
- organising media conferences advertising.
