This course is designed to assist you to look at how personal knowledge is assessed against competency standards and how this determines the needs and priorities of the individual and the organisation.
This course will also look specifically at self-assessment of your knowledge and skills, professional behaviours and performance. This course concludes with a look at role modelling and feedback.
At the completion of this course, you will be able to:
- assess professional competence against competency standards to determine developmental needs and priorities
- achieve and maintain personal competence using appraisals and other techniques
- develop a personal career plan and recognise management development opportunities essential for your growth
- use networks and associations outside of your organization to keep up-to-date with vital industry information
- provide and accept constructive feedback, and use appraisals effectively to benefit the organization and the employee.
